Take On Me (40th Anniversary Extended Version)

I’m incredibly proud of this achievement. Back in 2015, it began as a personal proof of concept new Extended Version of Take On Me using stems found online. It has always been the only major single without a decent Extended mix. I created a first version that ran over eight minutes. In 10 years time I've made multiple QE versions and only last year, with valuable creative and productional input from Vinny Vero, we refined it into a polished 7:30 version. When plans for an official release emerged, I rebuilt the mix using the original stems from the Warner archives. Turning it into the official 40th Anniversary Extended Version. A-ha's engineer and the three band members approved the mix with a sweet message through Magne saying they like how faithful the mix is to the original. And how, back in the day, they just did not have time in their schedule for a proper Extended Version. My mix is the A1 track on this beautiful 8 track Ruby Red vinyl EP.
